North Sussex Refuge Services ....
The North Sussex service supports women and children affected by domestic violence and intimidation in Crawley, Horsham and Mid-Sussex.
For information, help and advice, call us on 01403 750499 during office hours or e-mail us on nsussex@womensrefuge.org.uk.
You can either call us on the phone, or if you need to see an advice worker in person and are unable to attend a drop-in, we can arrange for an advice worker to meet you at a safe community venue in your local area.
Our staff attend domestic violence drop-ins in North Sussex where you can come and speak to an advice worker and at some of the drop-ins you can also speak to a housing officer, solicitor or police officer.
We have a refuge accommodating seven families including a wheelchair accessible unit. We also have access to ukrefugesonline, a live update of refuge vacancies in the UK.
Our support workers can help you with:
- Access to housing and resettlement
- Personal safety and child safety
- Access to welfare benefits
- Access to health services
- Access to legal advice
- Assistance to maintain your tenancy eg security and legal measures
- Support with civil and criminal proceedings
- Access to children’s services
- Signposting to other services
If you are planning to leave, it is important to have a safety plan. Please speak to a worker about this.
